Offshore electrical
Grady-White center consoles are saltwater boats: dual batteries, heavy electronics, and a washdown near the tray. The 251 CE builder information includes a trolling-motor pre-rig with a 36-volt battery mention on Grady-White’s public model page. That option is on some 251 CE boats; we still open the tray on the hull in front of us.
Console access
Console interiors are tight. Group size has to clear the lid and the hold-down. AGM starting batteries are common because the boat pounds. We still measure the tray rather than assuming a group 31 from the hull length.
Gulf and Atlantic use
Terminal corrosion and a charger float that does not match chemistry are the usual calls. Lake-style trolling banks only apply when the boat actually has a bow motor.
We come to the boat in the Florida towns we serve. Marine battery replacement and installation is the job, not hull sales.
