Bow motor first
Ranger-style bass boats are built around a trolling motor. That means a dedicated 24- or 36-volt series bank at the bow plus a separate outboard starting battery at the transom, and usually a multi-bank charger. We confirm voltage on the motor, not from the hull name. Ranger’s public Z520R pages describe a bow trolling motor; that is why the conversation starts there.
Weight and chemistry
Three flooded group 31s change how the boat sits. Lithium trolling blocks cut weight, but only if the charger and the BMS allow that chemistry and that series count. Mixing one new flooded battery into two old ones is still a short repair.
Driveway and ramp
Many Rangers never see a marina. We come to the trailer in a driveway or storage lot. A photo of the bow trays, the charger, and the motor voltage sticker is enough to start a quote.
We come to the boat in the Florida towns we serve. Marine battery replacement and installation is the job, not hull sales.
