What changes a marine battery quote

Access, chemistry, how many batteries, hold-downs, and the charger program change the visit. We quote from the boat in front of us.

A black-and-white bowrider with an outboard running on open water. A white flybridge cabin cruiser underway on open water.

The boat, not a catalog row

Group size, chemistry, and whether we are replacing one starting battery or a three-battery trolling string change parts and time. A console well that takes an hour to open is not a transom tray that takes ten minutes. 33 CFR 183.420 hold-downs and terminal hardware are on the job if they are broken. We do not quote a mystery number before we see the well.

Chargers and extra parts

A flooded-only charger next to a lithium request is two line items. A cracked tray is another. Cables that will not carry the new current are another. We would rather list those than surprise you at the boat.

Where the boat sits

A driveway in Gainesville, a lift in a canal, and a marina dock are different walks with the same batteries. Distance inside the coverage area is ordinary. A boat we cannot reach from shore is not this service.

Photos cut a return trip

Open tray, label, charger, switch. That is enough to ballpark. We still confirm on site. A photo of a closed hatch is not a quote.

North-central pattern

Ocala and Gainesville trailer boats are often one or two flooded batteries and a portable charger. That is a different quote from a Naples console with AGM dual batteries. Tell us which boat you have.

Labor you can see in a photo

A transom tray with two J-bolts is a short visit. A gel house bank under a cabin step with a fuel line in the same plane is a longer visit, because 33 CFR 183.420 will not let us perch a new case on a tank. If you already know the hatch fights you, say that in the call. We schedule hands and time from that, then confirm on site. Surprise labor is almost always access, not the logo on the case.
