Bennington pontoon battery layouts

Bennington pontoon battery access under furniture, starting versus stereo banks, and heat on a covered deck.

A white pontoon boat with a black Bimini top nosed onto a sandy lake shore. A wooden lake dock with a metal gangway; a pontoon boat is barely visible at the far end.

Furniture boxes

Bennington SX Stern Radius floor plans hide batteries under seating. Access is the labor. A stereo or house battery under a lounge is not the engine battery in the aft well. Official current SX layouts include 20 SXSR and 22 SXSR; those names help us talk about the hull type.

Heat on a covered pontoon

A canvas cover on a Florida lift cooks whatever chemistry is in those boxes. A charger that never rests makes that worse. We open the furniture, check the hold-downs, and match the charger profile to the batteries that are actually there.

Two jobs, two batteries

Starting the outboard is not the same job as running lights, a stereo, and a trolling motor. If the pontoon has a bow motor, those trolling-motor batteries are a third conversation. The right size still follows the year and the trays on your boat.

We come to the boat in the Florida towns we serve. Marine battery replacement and installation is the job, not hull sales.
